First we will put x, then add -i
But if the last vocalic is a,ı ; it turns -ı
if the last vocalic is e,i ; it doesn't change
if the last vocalic is o,u ; it turns -u
if the last vocalic is ö,ü ; it turns -ü…
Then we will add y…
It will be a number between 1-30.
Then we will add geçiyor.
Examples;
Biri çeyrek geçiyor. – It is quarter past one.
Dördü yirmi geçiyor . –It is twenty past four.
Saat iki buçuk. – It is half past two.
If we want to say “ at 1.15 “ “Beşi çeyrek geçe.”
For another example, time is a to b.
First we will put a, then add –e
If the last vocalic is a,ı,o,u ; e turns –a
If the last vocalic is e,i,ö,ü ; e doesnt’ change.
An exception
İki + e = İkiye
Then we add b. Finally we add var.
It is ten to two. = İkiye on var.
It is quarter to eight = Sekize çeyrek var.
It is ten to ten. = Ona on var.
If we want to say "at 9:50".. We say "ona on kala".
